HILLEBERG AMBASSADORS: Global Explorers on Motorcycles Lisa & Simon Thomas
Lisa and Simon Thomas set out from their home in England in May 2003 with the goal of cycling around the world in one continuous journey. Initially, they thought the journey would last two years, but after nearly 15 years of adventures through some of the world's toughest regions and environments, they estimate they are "only" three-quarters of the way there.
The couple has traveled more than 481,000 miles (774,000 km), traversing 78 of the planned 122 countries and reaching the northernmost and southernmost points on Earth accessible by motorcycle.
Their trust in the Hilleberg Keron 4 GT
"After 14 years of motorcycling, we've come to rely entirely on our Hilleberg Keron 4 GT. It's sheltered us from the skin-rending sandstorms of the African Sahara, protected us from the bites of the Brazilian Amazon, and kept us warm in sub-zero temperatures in Patagonia, South America. We demanded performance from it, and it delivered. Our Keron weighs almost nothing (just 12 pounds 2 ounces), sets up quickly, and is spacious enough for us to call home. This will continue to be a piece of gear we rely on."
Lisa and Simon say, “The only thing that sets us apart from anyone dreaming of a big adventure is that we chose to do it and set out – and our Keron kept us going. Good gear supports you.”
