HILLEBERG AMBASSADOR: Mark Seacat, an outdoor adventurer who blends life and passion

Born and raised in Montana, USA, Mark Seacat grew up hunting, fishing, and exploring the mountains with his parents. His love of the mountains deepened with journeys tracking elk, ultimately leading him to mountaineering, where he discovered a deep passion. "I met Alex Lowe in college, and he made a lasting impression on me," Mark says. Since then, he has participated in climbing expeditions around the world, interspersed with equally adventurous hunting and fishing trips.

"I've been incredibly lucky to have turned my hobby and passion into a career, which has taken me to some amazing places. I've spent six months chasing giant brown trout in New Zealand, and I've spent a month climbing Denali in Alaska, living in two connected Atlas tents. It was the ultimate in luxury—the Atlas system is incredible! Having a solid base camp can't be underestimated. When you're living in tents with five people for a month, you need plenty of space for gear, food, and somewhere for everyone to move around. The Atlas provided the perfect launching pad for our goal routes!"

As the founder of Seacat Creative, Mark applies his skills as a professional photographer and videographer to documenting outdoor activities, particularly hunting and fishing, for a variety of clients. He spends a significant portion of each year in the wild, whether hunting, fishing, or climbing, taking photos and videos, and relying on his Hilleberg tent.

"I absolutely love using the Soulo. Its ruggedness and self-supporting design are hard to beat. It's practically my go-to tent," says Mark. "My favorite Saitaris is my late-season hunt in Montana. It's incredibly rugged and withstands any inclement weather, and we often get deep snowpack. It's my favorite trip of the year! And for early-season trips with no snow, the Niak is perfect. It's perfect for two people if you want to travel light."
