HILLEBERG AMBASSADOR: Stefan Rosenboom, the explorer who tells stories with his camera

If you ask Stefan Rosenboom what he does, he will simply tell you that he is a freelance photographer. But this is only a small part of the story. As a long-term partner of Hilleberg, Rosenboom not only creates stunning text and video works, but also produces portfolios for artists and craftsmen. He is also a workshop instructor for the Leica camera company, leading master photography workshops in "the wild mountains of the Alps and the truly wild regions of Italy". If pressed further, he would say, "I never just sell photos. I always write words for the stories I want to tell. I guess I'm a 'storyteller with a camera.'"

To date, Stefan has published 12 books covering outdoor, travel and social issues. His latest book is The Soul of Wild Italy, and upcoming titles include Pilgrim Routes in the World, Greenland the Other Other Way) and The Wild Soul of Bavaria. In addition, he creates multimedia slideshows and exhibitions for each book.

About his journey and equipment

"I travel a lot," Stefan said. "In all my photography projects, I choose to walk. The walking speed is very slow, which gives me time to learn to 'see', and this process never stops for me." Sometimes, he travels with his family. "Last summer, my wife Susanne and daughter Silja spent six weeks hiking in Greenland to provide material for my new book project. For this type of trip, I had to consider their comfort and safety, including weather, route, Bears and other wildlife, food, and of course gear.”

After considering these factors, his choice was the Hilleberg Keron GT .
"This is the tent that supports me on all my adventures exploring the wild world. It's more than just a piece of equipment, it's a safety net that combines my experience with Hilleberg's craftsmanship. I love this tent because it Being able to spend some bonding time with my family in the wildest of places is such a great feeling when the family’s energy is flowing in nature!”
