HILLEBERG AMBASSADORS: Global Explorers on Motorcycles Lisa & Simon Thomas
Lisa and Simon Thomas set out from their home in the UK in May 2003 with the goal of traveling around the world on a motorcycle in one continuous journey. Initially, they thought the journey would last two years, but after nearly 15 years of adventure, traveling through some of the world's toughest regions and environments, they estimate they are now "only" three-quarters of the way there.
The couple has traveled more than 481,000 miles (774,000 kilometers), crossing 78 of the 122 countries on the program and reaching the northernmost and southernmost points on Earth accessible by motorcycle.
Their trust in Hilleberg Keron 4 GT
“After 14 years of motorcycle riding, we have come to rely entirely on our Hilleberg Keron 4 GT. It has sheltered us from the skin-breaking sandstorms of the African Sahara, protected us from the stinging threat of the Brazilian Amazon jungle, and We asked for high performance in sub-zero temperatures in Patagonia, South America, and it delivered. Our Keron weighs almost nothing (just 12 pounds, 2 ounces), sets up quickly, and is roomy enough. Let’s call this home. This will continue to be one of the pieces of equipment we rely on.”
Lisa and Simon say, “The only thing that separates us from anyone else dreaming of a big adventure is that we choose to do it and go – and our Keron keeps us going. Good gear can carry you.”
